Makar Sankranti: Suraj, Patang aur Til-Gul ki Mithas!
Jaise hi January aata hai, thand thodi kam hone lagti hai aur dhoop mein wo pyari si garmi mehsoos hone lagti hai. India mein ye waqt hai ek bahut hi bade festival ka—Makar Sankranti.
Ye festival sirf patang udane ke baare mein nahi hai, iske peeche science, tradition aur bahut saari khushiyan chhupi hain. Chalo, aaj is blog mein baat karte hain ki Makar Sankranti kyun aur kaise manayi jati hai.
1. Science aur Religion ka Connection
Makar Sankranti tab hoti hai jab Suraj (Sun) "Makara" rashi (Capricorn) mein enter karta hai. Is din se Uttarayana shuru hota hai, matlab ab se din bade hone lagenge aur raatein choti.
Humare purano mein kaha gaya hai ki Suraj Dev (Sun God) humein life aur energy dete hain. Isliye, ye din unhe "Thank You" bolne ka hai. Farmers ke liye ye harvest (fasal katne) ka time hota hai, isliye wo apni mehnat ka phal milne ki khushi manate hain.
2. Ek Desh, Alag-Alag Naam

Tamil Nadu (Pongal): Yahan ye tyohar 4 din chalta hai. Naye chawal ka "Pongal" banaya jata hai aur gai-bhaison (cows) ki puja ki jati hai.
Maharashtra: Yahan log ek dusre ko til aur gud dete hain aur bolte hain—"Til-gul ghya, god god bola" (Til-gud khao aur meetha-meetha bolo).
3. Til-Gud aur Khichdi: Swad bhi, Health bhi
Sankranti par hum til (sesame seeds) aur gud (jaggery) kyun khate hain? Iske peeche ek simple logic hai:
Body ki Garmi: January mein thand hoti hai, aur til-gud dono body ko andar se garm rakhte hain.
Dosti ki Mithas: Til-gud khane ka matlab hai purani dushmani bhulakar phir se dost ban jana aur meethi baatein karna.
Iske saath hi, kai gharon mein Khichdi banayi jati hai. Ye halki aur nutritious hoti hai, jo body ko badalte mausam (season change) ke liye ready karti hai.
4. Patang Udane ka Asli Reason
Aapko lagta hoga patang sirf maze ke liye hai? Asal mein, purane zamane mein log subah-subah terrace par patang udate the taaki unhe Vitamin D mil sake. Thand ke baad dhoop mein baithna body ke liye bahut achha hota hai. Aaj ye ek world-famous tradition ban gaya hai.
5. Ganga Snan aur Daan
Makar Sankranti par nadiyon mein nahane ka aur garibon ko daan dene ka bahut bada mahatva (importance) hai. Maana jata hai ki is din Ganga mein dubki lagane se saare paap dhul jate hain aur life mein ek nayi positivity aati hai.
Conclusion: New Beginnings!
Makar Sankranti humein sikhata hai ki life mein hamesha "Upar" dekho (jaise wo patang!). Purani buraiyon ko chhodo aur sabke saath mil-julkhar raho. Toh is saal, dher saari til-patti khaiye, patang udayiye, par haan—parindon (birds) ka khayal rakhiye aur manjha dhyan se use kariye.
